The Scarecrow
For this artwork, I set it in the Midwestern gothic aesthetic. I want to convey that dull, repressive farmland atmosphere contrasting with the strange, eeriely weird towering figure. I was inspired mainly by the willow-weaved human-shaped cage from the movie The Wicker Man. I call the figure "The Scarecrows."
No one knows where they came from; perhaps some higher entity planted them on Earth. But for what purpose? If they are scarecrows, what are they guarding against? Are they here to rid the fields of humans, the real crows in this planet?
Also, this one is primarily a Speedtree practice. I made all the trees as well as the poles for utility pole, fences inside Speedtree.
Probably will add a video version (with wind animations) later.
And the dog is credited to CGMASTER on sketchfab, the man is from Metahuman.
